The Way of Redemption from Diseases

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Rom 10:9-10 KJV).

To confess with one’s lips and to believe with one’s heart is an important law of the Lord’s power operating in our lives. These are two components which, being combined, produce a mighty power of healing. Let’s recollect how Israelites conquered Jericho, the first fortress in the promised land. They won it not by their force, but by their lips. They went around the fortress 7 times, shouted by the word of the Lord, and the fortress collapsed.

Let us look at an ordinary fire extinguisher. It could sit in one place for years without changing its position. But it takes just to pull its chip out, and two its components will be combined together and a mighty force of fire-extinguishing foams will break forth out of it.

The same is in our lives. We should combine confession with our lips and faith with our hearts in order to release the mighty force of redemption from illnesses.

“For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation {sozo}” (Rom 10:9-10 KJV).

When I got saved the brother who presented the Gospel to me, told me how he got rid from leukemia (cancer of blood) by the power of the Lord. When doctors diagnosed leukemia and told him that he had very little time left to live, he was seized with strong fear. His Mother informed him that what their relative heard. This relative lived in a remote city. She heard that people were being cured from any illness through repentance. That brother right away got in the car and drove to that city to find that church where people recovered from any disease. When he found the church of the born again people of the Lord, they told him these precious words of Christ, that it is necessary to confess Jesus as the Lord and believe in your heart that the Father raised Him from the dead, as it is written: “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Rom 10:9-10 KJV).

That brother did so and came back home completely healed.

This law of the Lord’s power he relayed to me. And I had been saved from pernicious alcohol addiction by the operation of these two components of the Lord’s power. I had to confess Jesus as my Lord and to believe that God had raised Him from the dead. When these two components were incorporated in my heart, the Lord’s power came out, and I had been transformed from a child of the devil into a child of the Lord. As it is written:

«But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God” (Joh 1:12-13 KJV)

Later I shared this method of salvation with many people. Redemption method through combining confession Jesus as the Lord and belief in one’s heart that God raised Him from the dead. Mighty force of the love of God changed lives of these people. For more than 20 years I have been preaching the Gospel to people about this power of the Lord’s love. I saw with my own eyes how more than 300 alcoholics, 12 epileptics, 17 cancer patients were healed miraculously without doctors or drugs. It is so pleasant to see, how saving power of the Lord operates practically in life. That is what it means to combine two components of spiritual forces in human lives:

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Rom 10:9-10 KJV).

After being born from the Holy Spirit we receive the Lord’s nature. It contains mighty power, as it is written in the Holy Scriptures:

«17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

20 Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us” (Eph 3:17-20 KJV)

The power of the Lord in our hearts! As we read: NOW UNTO HIM THAT IS ABLE TO DO EXCEEDING ABUNDANTLY ABOVE ALL THAT WE ASK OR THINK, ACCORDING TO THE POWER THAT WORKETH IN US! We need to learn how to use this power of the Lord. And this power through these two components should grow in us, as the grain of wheat planted in good soil. Those should bring up 30, 60 and 100 fold return of the power and love of the Lord. By this power I got healed from many illnesses.

However, there is a difference in healing of babies and young men in the Lord. Two components of the spiritual forces suffice for a baby: 1) confessions of Christ as the Lord and 2) faith that God raised Him from the dead. In the life of young men three components should operate already. As it is written:

«12 I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.

13 I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one” (1 John 2:12-13 KJV).

In the process of spiritual growth there are children, young men and fathers. As we see, young men differ from the children by overcoming the wicked one. So two components suffice for the children in applying the power of the Lord: confessing Jesus as their Lord with their lips and faith that God raised Him from the dead. For young men those two components are not enough. For them it is necessary to have the third component – resisting the devil.

1.  Confessions of the Christ by the Lord.

2.  Beliefs that God has revived from the dead.

3.  Resisting the devil.

Here is how it operates in real life. A woman came to our church. She had two serious illnesses: very strong depression (she had been treated for 12 years) and breast cancer (with it she had been struggling for several years). She confessed Christ Jesus as her Lord, believed that God resurrected Him from the dead, and right there immediately she received liberation from depression. She got completely changed in front of us. Before that she had been very depressed, with the darkened face, and after repentance she stood before us cheerful and looked ten years younger. But the breast cancer did not disappear. She attended church and continued to be treated by doctors.

How I was healed from diabetes, high blood pressure, stoke and other diseases

The Lord healeth all your diseases

2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. (Psa 103:1-5 KJV)

When you are almost sixty, illnesses come also. I used to be a very sick person. In our family we had a hereditary illness, sugar diabetes. My grandmother and mother died of this disease. On top of that I had been ill with yellow jaundice so my liver had been quite damaged. I had problems with my digestive tract which manifested themselves by attacks of the acute pains, I felt as if someone was stabbing my abdomen with a sharp knife. I suffered from disease of blood vessels caused by high blood pressure and heart failure. High blood pressure caused headaches, worsening of eye sight until all that ended up in a stroke from which I had a partial paralysis of the right side of my body. I could hardly move, speech was impeded, I could not write or sign my signature. I asked the Lord: “Why did all this happen to me?” The Lord answered that it was for His glory for He would cure me of all these illnesses just like Job. The Lord promised that in my old age I would be completely healthy and my health would be renewed, as an eagle’s. After all, His promises are not an empty word:

12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13 Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;
15 To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him. (Psa 92:12-15 KJV)

Leonidas Pushkovas, Lithuania

The Lord asked me, “Leonidas, do you know, that all illnesses come from nerves? And from what does nervousness come from?” The Lord explained to me that nervousness stems from a stream of the old devilish nature (Gal 5,13-25). Our language is full of deadly poison, by which we poison our bodies (James 3:8). Any display of carnal passions and lusts is a dose of deadly poison. People of this world adhere to a fashionable healthy lifestyle, thinking that their health depends only on the nutritious and balanced food. But the Lord specifies that person’s health depends on his speech also:’

15 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable.
16 And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?
17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man. (Mat 15:15-20 KJV)

After being born again from the Holy Spirit there is not only the new nature of the Spirit of  Christ in us, but also old nature manifests itself with its malicious thoughts, murders, fornications and other nasty things which should be crucified and destroyed. It is written from the Lord:

12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (Rom 8:12-14 KJV)

Let’s take as an example just one villainy of our sinful flesh, spiritual murder.

“Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him” (1Jo 3:15 KJV). This is hatred.

A Christian thinks that if he physically has not killed anybody, he is not a murderer. But under the law of the Universe hatred is a murder, and the one who does it has no eternal life in him. In our sinful flesh there is a murder, and this diagnosis was made by the Lord. I had it in my heart also.

Once my wife and I went to another city to visit a brother in Christ. Before we left my wife asked me to go online, to look in maps and find the street where this brother lives. But I thought that I approximately knew, where he lived and if I do not find it, I could call him on his cell phone. When we arrived, we got lost. My wife rebuked me that I had not looked on the Internet, and now we had to wander. I stopped and started calling this brother, but he did not pick up the phone. My wife rebuked me again that we would not have had problems if I would have listened to her and looked in Maps. I felt already hurt, and thrown at her: “Why won’t you be silent? I am already nervous even without your intervention, and you keep pouring kerosene on fire!”. But she would not stop and began bringing up many reproaches about my not listening to her here and in the past and as a result we always had problems.

To Know God and to Know About God

Leonidas Pushkovas, Lithuania

“…whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace

(Gal 5:4 KJV).

In this teaching we will consider the danger that traps born again Christians when they lose their first love to the Lord and start serving Him, but do it without Him. This thing happened with the entire Galatian church. Instead of walking with the Lord, they moved away to fulfilling of the law. Thus they were left without Christ, have fallen away from grace. We see this same thing in the church of Ephesus, and the Apostle John recorded the Lord’s warning:

1 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; 2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: 3 And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. 4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. 5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.” (Rev 2:1-5 KJV).

The church of Ephesus worked for the Lord very diligently, to the point of exhaustion, but the Lord declared a strict warning. If she does not recall where she has fallen from to lose her first love, and will not repent, her candlestick will be removed.

After accepting the power to become the child of the Lord, I joined a Baptist church and with pleasure started serving my Lord and King Jesus Christ. From wonderful personal communion with the Lord came true pleasure. Here is a small testimony.

I caught a cold and laid at home in the dark in my bed. However, in my heart I felt joy. I heard in my heart a hymn to the glory of the Lord. At first I thought that I am myself was singing in my mind. But something was not so: I heard a choir. This hymn was familiar to me, and I joined this choir. A real choir was singing, I was convinced of it; I could participate or not participate in the singing. I tried it for several times and noticed that when I did not sing, the choir continued singing praises to the Lord anyway. Then I noticed one more detail: I could lead this choir. When I sang slowly, the choir sang with me also slowly. When I sang faster, the choir obediently followed me. I was glad and thanked the Lord for this wonderful and magnificent phenomenon in my life.

What happened afterwards was even more interesting. I was not sleeping, just lying in bed in the dark. Suddenly in a vision I saw as if the door to other room was opened a little and through the crack of the opened door a bright light shined. From the light a chain of shining balls were rolling. In perplexity I thought: perhaps, they are angels? But why are they so small? I wanted to find it out and asked the Lord to give me a sign: if they are angels let them heal me from the congestion I felt in my chest. In a moment the congestion of cold disappeared, and I was healed instantly.

The next day I was able tell to my brothers in Christ about my wonderful personal communion with the Lord and how I had been cured from cold in a flash. This testimony remains in my memory as one most tender and precious. In my life there have been many similar cases of wonderful communication with the Lord.

These wonderful experiences continued for three more years. However, I started noticing that the love and joy from the wonderful presence of the Lord started gradually evaporating from my life. Frequent irritations returned, delightful infillings of the Holy Spirit stopped along with the miracles from the presence of the Lord. Something was wrong with my salvation. I began watching older brothers and observed that they were in the same position because they loved those who loved them, but could not love their opponents. In conflict situations brothers quarreled and could not quickly forgive their offenders. It was the same as with people in the world who are not born again.

Once we provided a temporary residence in our family for two missionaries from America, a married couple. They were in the Lord for 30 years, according to their own testimony. For us, newborn babies, they were as angels of God. Both of them knew the Bible very well, they were respectful and polite. The wife perfectly played piano, and in both sonorous and pleasant voice eulogized the Lord by singing psalms. It seemed to us that they has reached perfection in the knowledge of love to God and to people. But it turned out that the achievement of love is demonstrated not in a quiet setting but in a conflict. We were witnesses of a fight between the spouses in which they behaved no better than enraged women at a market place. It was the first time in my life when I started pondering about our correctness in the way of salvation because the Holy Scripture says, without love to the Lord we are not needed in eternity (1 Cor 13,1-3). I remember that at those moments I thought to myself: “If I also will be the same in a conflict situation after thirty years of serving the Lord, then everything these teachers taught me, is a lie and hypocrisy.” Later these assumptions proved to be true, when the Lord gave back to us our lost love and taught us to distinguish the curse of the law from the Lord’s grace. We will talk about it in the following short testimony.

“…whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace” (Gal 5:4 KJV).

A brother in Christ came to me and started being indignant about his wife not submitting to him, as to the Lord1. She grumbles and opposes him all the time. It is a so-called “curse of the law” – to demand submission to the law from another person. Continue reading To Know God and to Know About God

My Brothers! Not many of you Become Teachers: Carnal Lecturing

KJV 1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body
. (Jam 3:1-2 KJV)

Leonidas Pushkovas, Lithuania

The Lord turned my attention to a sin of lecturing in my life and showed me how to get rid of it. I repeatedly lectured my wife that her grumbling is sin and that she has to cease acting this way. About each of my accusations the Lord convicted me by His Word from the Holy Writ:

«O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.” (Rom 2:1 KJV).

The Lord with His silent instruction said that my reaction to my wife’s behaviour is obscene and does not correspond to sanctity of a life of the new nature in the spirit of Christ. Condemnation is a fruit showing that I have neglected the cross of Christ, I did not crucify my life according to the sinful flesh, and spiritual death follows as a result (Matt 10,38-39; Rom 6,5-7; 8, 12-14; Gal 5,13-25).

The Lord in a vision showed me many places of the Holy Writ where carnal lecturing is a terrible sin for which we may receive a hell fier (Mf 5,22).

38 Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word.
40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her
. (Luk 10:38-42 KJV)

The Lord did not warn Mary, but Martha for she was in a carnal lecturing sin. To our Lord Jesus it was not difficult to identify it, as Martha was irritated with Mary’s behavior and consequently she learned to grumble – to lecture.

The Lord three times warned His twelve disciples that for arguing and condemning the young man who was casting out demons, a fiery hell is waiting for them (Mk 9:33-50). This is carnal lecturing. Any dispute according to sinful flesh is an elevating of our own correctness, and from it comes out not the fruit of the Spirit (love, joy and peace), but the deeds of the flesh.

In the parable about workers in a vineyard for the denarius the workers who labored all the day long lectured the owner that he acted incorrectly, comparing themselves with workers who worked only one hour (Matt 20:1-11). The sin of a carnal lecturing is full of poison and inflames a life circle, itself inflamed from hell:

«6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:
8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
” (Jam 3:6-10 KJV).

Carnal lecturing is a terrible sin, and very few people are aware of it. It is a variation of proud condemnation. It is nesting in the hearts of each born again Christian, and we have to see it, as a log in our eyes:
