Seven Formulas To Victory

Дэниэл Роудс. Daniel RodesI asked the Lord to give me something to help Christians to win without going through the whole Bible in order to find proper verses. And He showed me verses, and if you drill this verses in your heart, you can not loose. If you want victory in your Christian walk, these formulas are absolutely necessary.

Daniel Rodes

The Lord not only expects His children to have victory, but He has given them the Word to show them how to have victory. Unfortunately, many are like Gideon who asked, “…Oh my Lord; if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites” (Judges 6:13). Many people wonder, “Why did this happen to me?” or “Why did this turn out the way it did?” or “Why don’t the promises of God work for me?” One day, while praying, the Lord gave me seven exciting formulas for victory, which I want to share with you. Although many people have confessed these verses, the formulas make each confession more personal and profound. By placing these confessions together, they become unique and bring greater victories. After I shared this program with others, they testified of greater victories – some in just a few days. The purpose of this program is to help you get a revelation of the Lord helping you and being with you through every situation. Keep in mind that the promises of God’s Word are not for the rebellious or disobedient. They have been given to God’s children to help them have victory. You will notice that many of the verses have qualifications for the person who receives the promise.

HOW TO GET STARTED

After you have read and studied the information sheet for the formula, go to the worksheet. (You may want to copy the worksheet to hang up or carry with you.) Write your name, starting date and finishing date at the top of the worksheet. Then write the day of the week that you started on the line beside the confession. On the first day, study the confession for day one. Continually confess and meditate upon it throughout the day. On day two, confess the verse for day two throughout the day. As you confess each scripture, you may want to return to the information sheet to read the reinforcement verses and get a better understanding of each confession. (Note: Become familiar with your daily confessions before confessing your reinforcement verses. The reinforcement verses are only to help broaden your understanding. It is not necessary to memorize these verses.) Study only one confession per day for a total of seven days. At the end of seven days, you should have an overall revelation of the formula. Now, for the next twenty eight days, confess all seven verses each day (Don’t let this overwhelm you. It’s not as hard as you may think.) This will be a total of thirty five days – seven days with one confession per day plus twenty eight days with all seven confessions per day.

Make each confession a priority for that day. It should be more important than anything else you do. Get enthused about making these confessions. Make a quality, unchangeable decision that you will confess each verse until it gets into your human spirit. The more enthusiastically you confess these verses throughout the day, the more revelation you will receive concerning that verse. The Word of God is very precious and should never be confessed in a mechanical, nonchalant way.

It is important to begin with Formula #1. The other six formulas may be confessed in any order. For best results, confess only one formula at a time.

BATTLE VERSES: “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled(II Corinthians 10:5-6).

If at any time you are tempted to think, “This formula is not working for me,” immediately go to the battle verses and cast down that thought. You may feel like you are not worthy for this formula to work in your life. If so, ask the Lord to forgive you of any wrong doing and cast down those thoughts that may arise in you. When anyone or anything tries to stop you, go to the battle verses and cast down that thought. PLEASE DON’T GIVE UP!

Once you have an overall picture of the formulas, you will have these verses to comfort you, strengthen you and cause you to be a winner, regardless of the circumstances. Don’t become discouraged. This can be challenging, but it can also be fun and rewarding. You will notice that in every area of life, one of these verses will help you to have victory. Hallelujah!

Formula #1 is explained in more detail to give an example of how each formula is to work.

Formula # 1 – This Is My Day

Information Sheet

The first day in our confession and meditation, we become aware of God’s ever abiding presence with us.

The second day, we become more conscious of the Lord leading and directing us each step of the way.

On the third day, we are reminded that whatever happens to us will turn out alright in the end.

The fourth day, we get a revelation that every weapon that comes against us will be unable to prosper.

On the fifth day of our confessions, we learn that we will never be tempted above what we are able to bear.

The sixth day, we understand that when we resist the devil, he has no choice but to flee from us.

On day seven, we become conscious that God has given His angels charge (command) to keep us in all our ways.

Day 1. The Lord will never leave me, nor forsake me:

“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said; will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” (Hebrews 13:5).

This verse is to make you mindful (conscious) of the ever abiding presence of the Lord in your midst. Make this fact very personal, “The Lord will never leave me, nor forsake me.” Throughout the day, keep meditating on this verse. As you ponder over this verse, you begin to sense God’s presence with you whether you feel it or not. Another verse that will help to reinforce this promise is Matthew 28:20. Jesus promised His followers, “and Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.”

Once you get a revelation of the Lord’s presence with you at all times, you will begin to experience the joy of being ever in His presence, “Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore” (Psalm 16:11).

Day 2. My steps are ordered by the Lord:

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way” (Psalm 37:23).

As you meditate upon this promise and confess it today, try to see yourself being led by the Lord each step of the way. Get a revelation of the Lord ordering your steps all day long. One day, you will be aware of His sweet presence leading you everywhere you go. Now, think on the fact that He does delight in my ways. As a reinforcement verse, pray today as the psalmist prayed that the Lord would order His steps, “Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me” (Psalm 119:133). Make it a habit to thank the Lord for leading your steps.

Day 3. I know all things will work together for my good:

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God; to them who are the called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).

The verse for today is to make you aware of trusting the Lord regardless of how you feel. Whatever happens today, remind yourself that you are in the presence of the Lord and that He is ordering your steps. You may not understand why certain things happen to you, but you can be assured “All things will work together for my good today.” As a reinforcement verse, think of the words of Job, “But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold!’ (Job 23:10).

Day 4. No weapon that is formed against me shall prosper:

“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD” (Isaiah 54: 17).

The verse for today promises you that any weapon that is formed against you will not prosper. Be sure to personalize this verse as God’s promise directly to you. Throughout the day, keep saying, “No weapon that is formed against me shall prosper.” If you are tempted to believe the weapons that are formed against you are prospering, flee for refuge to your “battle verse” (II Corinthians 10:4-6). As a reinforcement verse, meditate on the precious promise found in Isaiah 59:19. Here the Lord says, “When the enemy shall come in like flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.”

Day 5. I will never be tempted above what I can bear:

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is’ faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear if’ (I Corinthians 10:13).

The verse for today is an exciting one. As you go through the day, bear in mind that in the midst of every temptation you can boldly say, “I will never be tempted above what I can bear.” The Lord will help us through every temptation and will make a way for us to escape that temptation. This is especially good news to those who are facing a lot of temptations. As a reinforcement verse, James informs us why so many fall into sin, “Let no man say when he is tempted; I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, nether tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted; when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed’ (James 1: 13-14). As you meditate upon the verse for today, try to see yourself as an overcomer. When you are tempted, remember, Jesus was tempted like you. The Bible tells us, “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need’ (Hebrews 4: 15-16).

Day 6. When I resist the devil, he has to flee:

“Submit yourselves therefore to God, Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7).

In the verse for today, you are made aware of the power in you to resist the devil. If you have been continually harassed by the powers of darkness, put a stop to the devil’s harassments by resisting him. Make this verse personal. Boldly confess, “When I resist the devil, he has to flee from me.” The word “resist” means “to stand against, to oppose or boldly withstand” his attacks. For a reinforcement verse, meditate upon the words from I Peter 5:8-9. Here Peter writes, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” Another way you can resist the devil is by reminding yourself that, “…greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world’ (1 John 4:4). Get a revelation of total victory through the Lord Jesus Christ. Keep saying over and over again today, “When I resist the devil he has to flee from me because the Bible tells me so.”

Day 7. The Lord has given His angels charge over me:

“For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, jest thou dash thy foot against a stone” (Psalm 91: 11-12).

As you begin confessing the verse for today, get a revelation of this outstanding promise of God to you. Once again, take this verse personally and say out loud, “The Lord has given His angels charge over me today.” Doesn’t that already make you feel like a conqueror? Get a revelation of being surrounded by angels that God has given charge to protect you and help you at all times, day and night. As a reinforcement verse, meditate on Psalm 34:7 “The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.” If you get these promises in your spirit you have no need to fear what the day may hold for you. Praise the Lord for His total protection over you. If you are tempted to question if the Lord is doing what He promised, flee to the “battle verse” and cast down that thought.

Formula # 2 – Dwelling In a Peaceful Habitation

Information Sheet

Day 1. I know I shall dwell in a peaceable habitation today:

“And the work of righteousness shall be peace, and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places” (Isaiah 32: 17 -18).

Reinforcement verse: “Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations” (Psalm 90:1).

Today, picture yourself dwelling in a peaceful habitation. Get a sense of the presence of the Lord with you giving you sweet peace.

Day 2. I know it will be well with me today:

“Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings” (Isaiah 3:10).

Reinforcement verse: “For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous, with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield’ (Psalm 5:12).

The Lord gave us a message. He said to tell His people that it would be well with them. Today, think of yourself as having received that message from Heaven and that it actually will be well with you.

Day 3. I know if God be for me no one can come against me today:

“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31).

Reinforcement verse: “But I will sing of thy power, yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble” (Psalm 59: 16).

We often face things that are against us, but today, ponder those words, “If God be for us, who can be against us?”

Day 4. I know the Lord will keep me in perfect peace today:

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee” (Isaiah 26:3).

Reinforcement verse: “And the peace of God; which passeth all understanding, shall keep in your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7).

We all want perfect peace, but some attain it and others do not. What is the difference? we just choose to keep our mind stayed on the Lord. When we do, we will have perfect peace.

Day 5. I know in quietness and confidence shall be my strength today:

“For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not” (Isaiah 30: 15).

Reinforcement verse: “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward” (Hebrews 10:35).

The word “quietness” in this verse is a very important word. It means “to be still, settled and at rest.” Today, picture yourself being in that state of peace and having calm assurance that the Lord will work all things out for your good.

Day 6. I know the Lord is with me and nothing can offend me today:

(Psalm 119:165) “Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend [cause to fall] them.”

Reinforcement verse: “Who [Jesus], when he was reviled; reviled not again, when he suffered; he threatened not, but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously” (1 Peter 2:23).

People who are easily offended are often sad and discouraged. For some reason, they have either been hurt or unable to be delivered from their past. Today, think of yourself being delivered from any hurts or pains by asking the Lord to forgive those who may have injured you. Then make a strong statement, “Nothing shall offend me.”

Day 7. I know if I die today it will be well with me:

“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints” (Psalm 116: 15).

Reinforcement verse: “And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors, and their works do follow them” (Revelation 14:13).

Remind yourself today that the Lord says it is precious when His saints leave this world.

Formula # 3 – Overcoming the Spirit of Fear

Information Sheet

Someone said, “Fear is believing what Satan says will come to pass. Faith is believing what God says will come to pass.”

Day 1. The Lord has given me power over the spirit of fear:

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind’ (II Timothy 1:7).

Reinforcement verses: “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same,’ that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil,’ And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage” (Hebrews 2:14-15).

“For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear,’ but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father” (Romans 8:15).

*Notice the word love in the confession: “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love(I John 4:18).

You will notice that there is no fear in love. As you go through this day, keep pondering on the fact that God has not given us the spirit of fear and we have been delivered from that evil. The fear of God is healthy and will keep us from fearing man or any other thing.

Day 2. Fear is a choice, therefore, I choose not to fear:

“What time I am afraid; I will trust in thee” (Psalm 56:3).

Reinforcement verses: “Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; He also is become my salvation” (Isaiah 12:2).

“For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me” (Job 3 :25).

Today, notice that we have a choice. When the Psalmist became afraid, he chose to not let fear overtake him, but to trust in the Lord. If you have a problem with fear in your life, read this Bible verse and place strong emphasis on the fact that you choose not to fear.

Day 3. I will not fear, even in time of trouble:

“Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident” (Psalm 27:3).

Reinforcement verse: “Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea, Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof Selah” (Psalm 46:2-3).

Think of yourself being completely free from fear, both today and in the future. In these Bible verses, we have seen some serious conditions wherein the Psalmist declares he will not fear. You do not have to fear either.

Day 4. I will not fear what man can do unto me:

“The LORD is on my side,’ I will not fear: what can man do unto me?” (Psalm 118:6).

Reinforcement verse: “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1).

Today, ponder the thought that the Lord is on your side and will help you to overcome the spirit of fear.

Day 5. I will trust in the Lord and not be afraid of evil tidings:

‘He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD” (Psalm 12:7).

Reinforcement verse: “But whoso hearkeneth unto me [wisdom] shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil” (Proverbs 1:33).

We often face situations in life that can cause us to fear. Today, we want to meditate upon our verse until we are free from fear to such an extent that we will not even fear evil tidings.

Day 6. When I am tempted to fear, the Lord is with me and will help me not to fear:

“Fear thou not, for I am with thee: be not dismayed, for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee, yea, I will help thee, yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness” (Isaiah 41:10).

Reinforcement verses: “The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe” (Proverbs 29:25).

“When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet” (Proverbs 3:24).

We are often tempted to fear when someone tells us bad news or when it looks as though we will be facing a problem. Today, think on the fact that God has never had a problem that He didn’t have the solution for. He is ready to help you through any experience.

Day 7. If I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff they comfort me” (Psalm 23:4).

Reinforcement verse: “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints” (Psalm 116: 15).

Many people are plagued with the fear of death, but we need not be afraid of death. Today, ponder the wonderful promises that God has made to His children at the time of death or when they are in the valley of death.

Formula # 4 – The Golden Rule

Information Sheet

Day 1. Today, I will love my neighbor as myself:

“…Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself’ (Matthew 22:39).

Reinforcement verses: “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another” (John 13:35).

“Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law” (Romans 13:10).

Love is a choice. See yourself loving people regardless if they love you or not. This is a sign of Christian maturity. You can love because God is love.

Day 2. Today, I will be a friend to others:

“A man that hath friends must show himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother” (Proverbs 18:24).

Reinforcement verses: “But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed; came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. And on the morrow when he departed; he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of I him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee” (Luke 10:33-35).

Today, try to do something for your friends, such as praying for them or giving them a word of encouragement. Little things like this can matter a lot in friendship. You also have an opportunity to make new friends; so you must show yourself friendly.

Day 3. Today, I will serve my fellowmen with love:

“For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another” (Galatians 5:13).

Reinforcement verses: “If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet, ye also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them” (John 13:14-17).

Today, make a decision that you will develop a caring attitude. If someone needs help, be ready to help them. This is what God expects of HIS children.

Day 4. Today, I will treat others as I want to be treated:

“And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise” (Luke 6:31).

Reinforcement verse: “Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.”

The golden rule is an excellent philosophy for all of us to have. Today you have an opportunity to treat others the same way you want them to treat you. What a better place this world would be if everyone follow this rule.

Day 5. Today, I will do good to all people:

“As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” (Galatians 6:10)

Reinforcement verse: “And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.” (Luke 6:33)

“But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend; hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil’ (Luke 6:35).

Ponder on ways you can do good to others. We often have opportunities to help people, but let them by. Today, picture yourself being available to do good to others.

Day 6. Today, I will bless those who may mistreat me:

“But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them

curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you” (Luke 6:27-28).

Reinforcement verses: “Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me: I will render to the man ac- cording to his work” (Proverbs 24:29).

“Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance mine; 1 will repay, saith the Lord” (Romans 12:19).

Perhaps all of us have been mistreated by someone at some time in our life. Today would be an excel day for us to pray for them. Make certain that you have forgiven those who injured you, then ask Lord to bless them.

Day 7. Today, I will esteem others better than myself:

“Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other than themselves” (Philippians 2:3).

Reinforcement verses:

12 And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;  13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves.” (1 Thessalonians 5:12-13).

“Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another” 12:10).

According to the verse for today, we are to esteem others better than ourselves. This may be hard at because of the way someone may have treated us, spoken against us or defamed us. Today, esteem because God has commanded us to esteem others better than ourselves.

Formula #5 Serving the Lord With Joy and Gladness

Information Sheet

Day 1. The Lord made this day and I choose to rejoice and be glad in it:

“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24).

Reinforcement verses: “Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength” (Nehemiah 8: 10).

“These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full’ (John 15:11).

You can choose what you will do with this day. Decide to make today and every day a day of rejoicing and gladness.

Day 2. Today, choose to put on the garment of praise instead of the spirit of heaviness:

“To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness,’ that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified” (Isaiah 61:3).

Reinforcement verse: “Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance” (Psalm 42:5).

The Lord has given us a choice to lay off the spirit of heaviness and put on the garment of praise. Instead of mourning, we can choose to have joy. Sometimes, people grieve over the loss of a loved one for years, but today, the Lord wants to help you overcome anything that may be hindering you from being joyful, glad and full of praise.

Day 3. Today, I choose to serve the Lord with gladness:

“Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing” (Psalm 100:2).

Reinforcement verse: “Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore” (Psalm 16:11).

The Lord wants to see His children serving Him with gladness. We can choose to be glad. Instead of being sad, be joyful. Even our prayers will sound different when we are glad. Make a decision today to serve the Lord with gladness.

Day 4. Today, choose to keep a merry heart:

“A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones” (Proverbs 17:22).

Reinforcement verse: “A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken” (Proverbs 15:13).

Today, take that wonderful medicine that the Lord has given us – having a merry heart.

Day 5. Today, I choose to leap for joy if someone wrongs me:

“Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold; your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets” (Luke 6:22-23).

Reinforcement verse: “Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, lam exceeding joyful in all our tribulation” (II Corinthians 7:4).

There is something about the verse for today that can answer a lot of people’s problems. When someone turns against you and you can leap for joy, you are no longer bound to what they may have to say.

Day 6. Today, I choose to do all things without murmurings and disputings:

“Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God; without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world’ (Philippians 2:14-15).

Reinforcement verse: “Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer” (1 Corinthians 10:10).

The children of Israel were judged by God when they murmured and complained. Today, we can make a choice to be blameless and harmless in the generation in which we live, therefore, shining as lights in the world.

Day 7. I choose to have a thankful heart today:

“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you” (1 Thessalonians 5: 18).

“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name” (Psalm 100:4).

This verse says to give thanks in everything. We cannot have bad attitudes and a thankful heart at the same time. So, choose to have a thankful heart today.

Formula # 6 – Overcoming Depression

Information Sheet

Day 1. I refuse to think, ponder or meditate on my bad past:

“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before” (Philippians 3:13).

Reinforcement verses: “Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 1:13-14).

Depression is a dreadful enemy that is destroying many lives. One reason for this is that people cannot overcome their past. In these formulas, we have dealt with this in different ways, but today, choose to overcome. Make a firm decision that if there is anything in your past that you need to confess, repent of and forsake, you will do it today. Forgive those who have hurt you and learn to never hold a grudge against anyone again.

Day 2. I refuse to blame my upbringing, my present circumstances, anyone or anything for making me depressed:

“In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression,’ for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee” (Isaiah 54:14).

Reinforcement verse: “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…” (Proverbs 23 :7).

It is easy to blame others when things go wrong. We may have a tendency to blame our parents or some other individual for what they did or didn’t do. The Lord wants us to take full accountability for what we have done instead of blaming others for our problems. Today, make a decision that you refuse to be depressed and you will be accountable for your actions.

Day 3. I refuse to be depressed, but will cast all my care upon the Lord:

“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you” (I Peter 5:7).

Reinforcement verse: “Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved’ (Psalm 55:22).

Today, picture yourself casting all of your care on the Lord. Now think, “I don’t have cares. They are all on the Lord.”

Day 4. I refuse to worry or become depressed about my future needs:

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4: 19).

Reinforcement verse: “Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?” (Matthew 6:26).

It is easy to worry about the future, but we have a choice – we can trust instead of worry. God has promised to meet our needs. We don’t always know what those needs may be, but He does.

Day 5. I refuse to associate myself with those who gossip, slander or talk against others:

“The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly” (Proverbs 18:8).

Reinforcement verses: “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful’ (Psalm 1: 1).

“Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed’ (Hebrews 12:12-13).

Many lives have been hindered, destroyed or ruined by a slanderous tongue. Make a firm decision that you refuse to be associated with those who have a slanderous tongue and ask the Lord to deliver you from such evil.

Day 6. I refuse to judge or condemn my fellowman for any reason:

“Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again” (Luke 6:37-38).

Reinforcement verse: “But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at naught thy

Brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ” (Romans 14:10).

When we judge someone, we may or may not be right. God forbids us to judge each other. So, today, make a firm decision that you will not be judgmental or express your opinion about someone that could hurt or injure them.

Day 7. I refuse to worry or be anxious about anything:

“Be careful [anxious] for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God” (Philippians 4:6).

Reinforcement verses: “And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her” (Luke 10:41-42).

Ponder this verse often today. Then keep saying, “I refuse to worry about anything.”

Formula # 7 – Eternal Life

Information Sheet

Day 1. I know my Heavenly Father has given me eternal life:

“And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life” (I John 2:25).

Reinforcement verse: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

What a wonderful promise we have to ponder today. God has given us eternal life through the

Lord Jesus Christ.

Day 2. I know I have passed from death unto life:

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life” (John 5:24).

Reinforcement verses: “We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him” (1 John 3:14-15).

How do we know that we have eternal life? When the old sin nature has been brought under and we are no longer dominated and controlled by sin. If you have a sin problem, confess, renounce and forsake that sin and ask the Lord to forgive you. Then start boldly confessing, “I know I have passed from death unto life.”

Day 3. I know if I sin I have an advocate with my Heavenly Father:

“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world’ (I John 2: 1-2).

Reinforcement verse: “Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him” (1 John 3:6).

Thank God that when we do sin or make mistakes in life we have an advocate. In this verse, we are told not to sin, but when we make a mistake Jesus is our advocate. So meditate upon this verse and make a decision to thank God that you have an advocate with the Father.

Day 4. I know because I have eternal life I will not practice sin:

“But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:22-23).

Reinforcement verse: “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the work of the devil’ (1 John 3:8).

Today, as you ponder this verse, determine that you will not practice sin. Think of yourself being completely delivered from sin.

Day 5. I know no one can pluck me out of my Heavenly Father’s hands:

“And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand” (John 10:28-29).

Reinforcement verse: “We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not’ (1 John 5:18).

Jesus made it clear to us that there is a protection upon those who have been redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus. Thank God for that protection.

Day 6. I know I have assurance of eternal life:

“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God” (1 John 5:13).

Reinforcement verse: “That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:15).

As you ponder this verse today, continue to praise God for the assurance of eternal life.

Day 7. I know I am kept safe by the power of God:

“Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy” (Jude 1:24).

Reinforcement verses: “To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled; and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time” (1 Peter 1:4-5).

Our verse for today is indeed a beautiful and precious verse. Think of yourself as being presented faultless before the Father through the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank God, we have eternal life, but that does not give us a right to sin or to backslide.
